Marshall & Patta – Limited Edition Emberton II
Marshall and Patta, two brands equally rooted in music, are putting their creative minds together to launch a limited-edition portable speaker. Featuring the Marshall signature sound, this Emberton II has been updated to reflect Caribbean Soundsystem Culture. The collaboration is an extension of their partnership started in 2022, giving them a chance to dive deeper into their shared mission and exploring their commitment to amplifying voices.
For the first time, Marshall’s rock ‘n’ roll legacy is reimagined through Patta’s distinctive vision, creating a limited-edition Emberton II speaker that celebrates bringing people together through music. The design embodies the DIY ethos, common in soundsystem culture, the speaker has a multi-coloured grille with OSB wood print and fluorescent orange colliding to create a one-of-a-kind Emberton II speaker. The end result is a fresh take on vintage speaker aesthetics.
“We’re stoked to be the first brand to collaborate on a portable speaker design with Marshall. Patta has strong ties to sound system culture and music communities at large. Like many of our collaborations, we touch on various aspects beyond just the product, exploring multiple pillars of the project”, says Guillaume Schmidt, co-founder at Patta.
Patta and Marshall have created a campaign directed by Caribbean artist Gilleam Trapenberg that invites the audience to experience the vibrancy of everyday life in the Caribbean. It embraces the real by capturing intimate, raw and authentic moments in equal measure. The campaign aims to inspire a deeper connection to the region’s way of life.
“The partnership with Patta goes beyond just product design; the fundamental belief that music has the power to unite and uplift people, is what brought us together in the first place. Patta’s commitment to uplifting underrepresented voices is truly inspiring, and it resonates with both Marshall’s values and legacy. Together, we want to create meaningful products and experiences that will empower the communities we care deeply about”, says Jeremy de Maillard, CEO at Marshall Group.
