MARSHALL EXPANDS ITS HENDRIX TRIBUTE WITH THREE NEW 60TH ANNIVERSARY EDITIONS

Marshall continues its tribute to Jimi Hendrix through an expanded, cosmic‑inspired anniversary collection, marking 60 years since Hendrix first plugged into a Marshall amplifier. This latest unveiling features the Major V, Emberton III, and the Studio Vintage amplifier, all reimagined in a distinctive new aesthetic.

25th of August 2026 – Drawing from the cosmic imagery, exploration of space, and distinctive use of colour woven throughout Jimi Hendrix’s music, art and creative world, each edition reflects a visual language that remains unmistakably Hendrix.

“The story of Jimi and Marshall has always been personal to me because I first heard it from my dad, Al Hendrix. Dad was there and shared those memories with me, so I carry that story only one degree from its source. Jimi was always searching for a sound that did not yet exist, pushing beyond what anyone thought an electric guitar could do. Marshall gave him the power and freedom to turn those bold ideas into a sound the world had never heard before. Sixty years later, that connection between Jimi and Marshall still speaks to new generations of musicians who are pushing creative boundaries and searching for their own sound”  said Janie Hendrix, President and CEO of Experience Hendrix and sister of the iconic guitarist

HENDRIX™ 60TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION MAJOR V

Delivering Marshall’s signature sound in a rugged, foldable design, this anniversary edition allows users to listen to days of Hendrix tracks on a single charge. The beloved Major V on-ear headphones come in a sleek black finish, elevated with psychedelic graphics and subtle Hendrix-inspired details. A striking purple oil-on-water design flows throughout the inner headband and ear cups, finished with the all-seeing eye motif.

HENDRIX™ 60TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION EMBERTON III

Continuing the purple oil-on-water design across the sleeve, and through the grille, this Emberton III anniversary edition pays homage to Hendrix at every turn. The all-seeing eye appears in silver on the media jog and is accompanied by purple LEDs. The silicone sleeve is hand-dipped using a water transfer print, making each piece entirely unique. With more than a full day of listening on a single charge, there’s plenty of time to play through Hendrix’s extraordinary body of recorded music.

HENDRIX™ 60TH ANNIVERSARY JMH STUDIO

Made by hand in the Marshall factory in Bletchley, UK, this portable JMH Studio amplifier reimagines the design of the classic Studio Vintage amp. From expressive cleans and deep blues textures to expansive, harmonically rich, and searing amplified sound, this combination brings undeniable quality to any performance or studio recording.

Built from quality plywood and wrapped in black Tolex, this stack reflects Marshall’s renowned craftsmanship. A one-of-a-kind anniversary design features black and purple in a psychedelic pattern across the fret and control panel, complemented by a purple LED indicator. Drawing on Hendrix’s distinct personal style and the silver jewellery that became part of his visual identity, intricate silver beading is woven throughout, detailing the knobs, handle, logo, grille, and back panel. The all-seeing eye badge, derived from Hendrix’s fascinationwith the third eye and expanded vision, sits on the top and bottom of the stack, completing the design.
