Three more Red Dot Awards for Marshall speakers and adidas headphones
This year, Marshall Group managed to surpass all expectations by being honoured with not one or two but three prestigious Red Dots. The Marshall Homeline III, the Marshall Willen as well as the adidas RPT-02 SOL, were all awarded for their outstanding product design in the audio category. All three products were designed and developed in-house at the global headquarters in Stockholm, which is the case with all Zound’s products.
The participation of the prestigious Red Dot Design Award was a great success for Marshall Headphones this year when managing to scoope, not only one, but two Red Dots for Homeline III as well as Willen, Marshall’s smallest speaker to date. The portable Bluetooth speaker encapsulates Marshall’s iconic looks and signature sound, offering features and performance well beyond its pocketable size. Equipped with best-in-class IP67 dust- and water resistance rating, 15+ hours of listening on a single charge and ingenious mounting strap, the Willen can be brought along no matter the weather or circumstances.
“It is an honour to be recognised for the work we do, especially in this prestigious category. All our products are great examples of our team’s ability to infuse best-in-class design and innovative solutions into user-friendly products, while staying true to our heritage. By being acknowledged this way we clearly show that we continue to prove ourselves,” says Andreas Enquist, Chief Design Officer, Zound Industries.
Marshall was not the only Zound brand that managed to be awarded in the Red Dot Design Award this year, adidas Headphones was also recognised for the RPT-02 SOL. In partnership with Swedish solar technology innovators Exeger, adidas Headphones created a headband featuring Exeger’s ground-breaking light cell material Powerfoyle™. The technology is designed to harvest energy from natural and artificial light, providing the headphones with plenty of playtime and the ability to charge on the go without the use of cables.
“We are excited to be recognised by the Red Dot Jury this year as well. The award-winning products really embodies our mission to provide musicians and music lovers all over the world with premium, innovative, best-in-class products and experiences whilst being the most exciting alternative to the traditional players. Everyone involved should be incredibly proud of this achievement,” says Gustaf Rosell, Chief Product & Innovation Officer, Zound Industries.
